Description:

Mason was rescued along with his brother Mack from behind a 7-11 in Bristol. They are both shy, but have gotten used to their foster mom, and love to be pet and brushed. The story doesn’t end there……while at the vet getting neutered, the vet examined them. They found that Mason’s kidney’s felt strange. We did a complete blood panel and an ultrasound, and found out that Mason was born with a congenital defect that left his kidneys small. His bloodwork also showed a problem with his kidney function. We did a check on his brother, and he is perfectly healthy. So, where we are with this, is that Mason can be kept comfortable and loved for as long as his quality of life is good.  Once Mason starts to decline, he will need to be euthanized. Our vet said that miracles can happen, so we are hopeful. However, we are praying that someone will come forward and adopt one or both of these gentle kitties. Mack (brother) is completely healthy and should live a normal life. Mason does not need special food yet, but may need kidney dry food in the future. If you are willing to be a guardian angel,  feel free to fill out our adoption application at www.savethecatsinc.com  These kittens have fur that is like rabbit fur. They are the gentlest cats you could own. Our group would help support you through any issues with Mason. In addition, you could continue using our vet for his care if needed.

Both kitties have been neuetered and have tested negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia. They have also been given all of their vaccinations.
