Description: Georgine started showing up looking for something to eat. She eventually would come for breakfast and dinner each day and over time got closer and closer to the person feeding her. One day she started head butting her feeder before dinner and that started a new habit where she'd ask to be pet before she'd start eating. Once the weather got nasty Georgine was brought inside out of the cold and snow. She's a very sweet and friendly kitty.
The problem is that she tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). She needs to be either an only kitty or live with another FIV positive cat. Best information indicates that FIV cats can have a normal life span if they are in a good low stress environment.
We believe that she was someone's cat at one time because of how social she is but we have been unsuccessful finding her previous owners.
We're hoping someone out there will offer this wonderful girl a forever home. She is spayed and has been vaccinated.
