Sara
Over ten years ago, we adopted our cat, Sara from STC. Never have I met a cat sweeter, or more loving and human, than Sara. Sadly, her age was catching up to her and it won the battle. I wanted to thank Save the Cats for rescuing her all those years ago. She brought such light, love and laughter to my family and those who met her. I will never forget her, or the organization that brought her into my life. Thank you all...SO much.

Lola aka Lalu
10/16/12 We are sad to report that today Lola (aka Lalu) passed away unexpectedly. She went to the vet this morning to have a routine update on her distemper vaccine, and had a severe adverse reaction that resulted in her passing away. She was very affectionate and brought a lot of love to our lives, and we are sad that she is not able to be with us any longer. We want to thank Save The Cats for giving us the opportunity to have such a wonderful companion for the 5 years that she has been a part of our family.

Alley aka Allison
10/6/12 Alley and her brother were adopted from STC in 2008 when they were just kittens. Sadly we heard from their mom today that Alley had passed away. She wrote "Very sad to announce Alley has suddenly passed away this morning. We heard a noise like sliding papers-(she loved to lay on those)we turned around to find her on her side and she gave a faint meow (as if to say goodbye). We picked her up to put her in a carrier but she was very limp. After rushing her to the vet they gave us the terrible news that she was gone. The vet thinks maybe something to do with the heart. She was a beautiful calico cat. Loved her colors including the cutest little spots on her back legs and mouth. Loved how she greeted us with little consistent mews. We and her brother Jack (aka Armstrong) will forever be heart broken."

Isabelle
7/27/2011 Isabelle was the most amazing cat I've ever known. Calico's have a bit of a reputation for being divas but Izzy was anything but. She would greet everyone who entered the house with a head butt and a request to be pet. She was also a lap cat. She loved to curl up with me in the recliner particularly on those chilly winter evenings. She was the queen of the house but ruled with patience. She put up with my Boots when he was a pesky kitten and let him share and hog the bed with her. Occasionally she'd put the two boys, Digeo and Boots in line but they needed it. She was always even tempered and the only time I saw her even a bit testy was on the very rare occasions when I'd have to remove a matt from her long fur. Isabelle was born with bad kidneys. One didn't work at all and the other was subject to frequent infections. The vet warned us that she wouldn't live to be an old girl but she did make it to 10 before her kidney finally failed completely. For her I guess it was good that the end came quickly. I just wish we could have had more time together. I don't believe I'll ever meet another sweet soul like hers again in this life and I miss her every day.

Spencer
December 1, 2007: Spencer was a very loving cat. He showed up as a stray in Kensington looking for someone to feed him. Luckily a good samaritan took him in out of the cold. He loved to be held and petted. For the short time he was with STC he won the hearts of many volunteers.
