Winter was rescued as a stray in Philadelphia. One of our volunteers noticed her sitting on a porch of an abandoned house. Winter was so happy to see the volunteer and immediately came running up to her looking for food and a few pets on the head. By the looks of Winter's matted, dirty coat she clearly no longer had a home. Once we rescued Winter we gave her a good bath and a flea treatment. She still looks a bit scruffy but with a little time and some more brushing Winter will be a beautiful cat. She has been tested negative for feline leukemia/AIDS, vaccinated, and spayed.
